Ace actor John Dumelo has over the past couple of months been proving his support for NDC flag bearer and incumbent president John Dramani Mahama and today, the “Letters To My Mother” star has yet again shown there are no limits when it comes to campaigning for Mahama.
The Ghanaian actor and politician took to his Instagram page to post a picture of himself and a group of youths campaigning for Mahama in the suburbs.
The picture was posted with a caption that read;
“Almost Sunset…… #grassroot #Everyvillage #doortodoor#gettingeveryoneinvolved #youths #smallgroups #oneonone”
John Dumelo Campaigns For Mahama
Dumelo was among top politicians including former President Jerry John Rawlings who attended the NDC campaign launch at Cape Coast.
“I decided to join the NDC after I met a certain group of people whose message didn’t convince me”. Said Dumelo at the Cape Coast campaign launch.
Despite being tongue-lashed and severely criticized for supporting the ruling government for a second term bid, Dumelo has seemed relentless, and if anything it appears the criticisms serve as fuel for his determination.

Dumelo ventured into politics in 2012 when he declared his support for Mahama in his first term bid to become Ghana’s President. Dumelo used his fame to bring support for Mahama by doing several TV commercials and it sure paid-off as Mahama emerged victorious in the elections.
However, while the Mahama-led government as been described by many as an absolute failure, Dumelo insists he is the best man for the job, declaring his support yet again for Mahama who has promised Ghanaians “transformation”.
His relentless support for the party was rewarded in March 2015 when he was named the nation’s Tourism ambassador.
In early 2015, following the rather sluggish growth of the Ghanaian economy of which the masses blame Mahama, Dumelo openly stated that Ghanains were putting the president under unnecessary pressure. This sent the masses into an outrage with many stating that the award-winning actor has over-stepped his boundaries.
