Veteran actor, Ebenezer Donkor, aka, Katawere has died. He died in the morning of Monday, November 14, 2016.
Katawere has been reportedly battling an undisclosed illness for the past two years. Confirming the news of his death in an interview, his daughter, Diana Donkor said she noticed his lifeless body around 9 a.m. Katawere’s daughter who is also a nurse said she waited for her father to wake up until when she decided to wake him up only to find out he was no longer breathing. He was then taken to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where his death was confirmed and his body deposited in the morgue.
It’s true… this morning. I saw it around 9 a.m but we took him to the hospital at 10:30 a.m and the doctor confirmed.
I was waiting for him to wake up and take his breakfast but he wasn’t waking up, so at 9 a.m I tried waking him up and he wasn’t breathing.
I’m a nurse myself, I checked him, I realized he is no more so I called his doctor and he asked me to bring him for confirmation, Diana said.

Late Donkor has been in the movie industry for over twenty years and has featured in over a hundred movies. He has starred in movies and series with stars like Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Auntie Bee of Efiewura fame and many others.
Ebenezer Donkor died at the age of 78 and is survived by six children. May his soul rest in peace.
