Amazing!.. Oprah Winfrey Earns $12 Million With Just One Tweet!


As it is, TV presenter Oprah Winfrey has hit a jackpot with one single Weight Watchers tweet! The media mogul is said to have made 12million from tweeting about how she eats bread and has still lost so much weight. So yes, as surprising enough It was about bread Oprah cashed in a huge profit from tweeting about bread.

The 61-year-old media mogul is a shareholder in Weight Watchers International Inc. She had posted a short video about how she was able to lose 16 pounds while still eating bread and sticking to the Weight Watchers programme. She had captioned  the clip, “Eat bread. Lose weight. Whaaatttt (sic)? #ComeJoinMe”. Watch the video here

She said to her fans in the video, which was also to promote her journey with Weight Watchers: “This is the joy for me, I love bread! I love bread. I now just manage it. I have bread every day. That’s the genius of this programme! I have lost 26 pounds.”

It said that after an hour she posted the tweet, Weight Watchers share prices rose up by more than 16 percent since Winfrey owns roughly 6 million shares, the burst in share prices made the mogul $12 million richer. However, the money can only be liquefied when she decides to sell her shares. And of course, it won’t be wrong for one to say it is not any time soon.

She had become a co-owner of the company and a spokesperson for the Weight Watchers following her purchase of 10 percent shares in October which made her the largest individual stakeholder in the company.

Weight Watchers Inc is said to have had popular celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Hudson and Jenny McCarthy, Lynn Redrave, Sarah Ferguson, as their spokespersons. And doing as they did, the TV mogul also did a commercial to promote her partnership. In her commercial, she encouraged women of weight not get discouraged, or feel segregated among others and that they should continue relentlessly in their weight loss journey.
