Bukom Banku blasts Nana Addo at a campaign launch, saying that while the NPP Flagbearer now signifies Kalyppo juice, Mahama signifies energy drink!
Controversial boxer Braimah Kamako popularly called Bukom Banku, has taken a swipe at the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo over the not-long-ago trending Kalyppo Craze. The popular boxer made nonsense of the much talked about trend that shook social media with tons of pictures and remarks.
The Kalyppo Craze started after a picture of Nana Addo sipping the fruit drink went viral. The picture which was meant to mock Nana Addo, kicked off a social media challenge among NPP supporters who sought to defend their candidate. [See All About Kalyppo Craze Here].
Speaking at the campaign launch of Ebi Bright at Tema on Sunday, Bukom Banku blasts Nana Addo, jeering that while the NPP Flagbearer now signifies Kalyppo juice, President Mahama signifies energy drink. His words simply implied that the President is stronger than the NPP Flagbearer who has seized the opportunity of the Kalyppo challenge to promote his weak self.
The popular boxer also took swipes at ace comedian and Kumawood actor Agya Koo, over his claims of being very popular. Agya Koo who declared his unflinching support for Nana Addo ahead of the December polls, has done the unexplainable, in the course of his campaign for the NPP Flagbearer. The actor was heard during a campaign for Nana Addo, throwing jabs at an NDC loyalist Kofi Adams who had earlier said that Agya is not as popular as he thinks he is.
Reacting to Agya Koo’s remarks, Banku told the excited crowd that he is the “number 1” popular person in the country and that Agya Koo is nowhere close to his fame. The comic boxer said further that Agya Koo is too small when compared to him.
Banku who is just coming out of a long episode of skin bleaching, has been known for his strong support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its Flagbearer President John Mahama. Ghana felt his profound support when the boxer revealed the motive behind his bleaching to be his hope of being appointed Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany, when Mahama wins the 2016 elections.
