Charter House Boss Picks Samini Instead of Shatta Wale

The Chief Executive Officer of Charter House, organisers of the Ghana Music Awards, Theresa Ayoade has chosen Samini ahead of Shatta Wale in the battle over who is the best in dancehall music in Ghana.

This may not coma as a surprise to many after the series of heated conflicts arguments that has been ongoing between Ghana’s ‘dancehall king’ and Charter House since last year.

The popular musician has since remained impenitent over his unpleasant attitudes towards the house as information was recently gathered that he he is even planning to flop the VGMA which will hold on the 7th of May 2016.

Worse still, we are well aware that fans of the two popular artistes are often involved in no trivial squabbles over who is the best in the genre.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Mrs Ayoade said although the two musicians are good at their jobs, she prefers the ‘rain god’ ahead of the ‘dancehall king’.

I think both Shatta Wale and Samini are good at what they do but maybe because I said I am an old person and likes the old things, I will choose Samini,” she stated.

She also described as unfortunate the verbal attacks by the ‘kakai’ singer that eventually led to him being disqualified from the upcoming Ghana Music Awards.

Mrs Ayoade added that because of these unpleasant happenings, she sometimes regret entering the music industry.

Yes I do regret along the line in the sense that we are putting in so much efforts and it seems that it is not appreciated and not valued but at the end of the day we derive satisfaction that we know we are doing a good job and doing our best and that discerning people are listening”.
