Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte Bent on Testing Ghana’s Christian Atsu Before Loan Option Decision


Chelsea manager is keen to examine all Chelsea players available to him before deciding on who goes on loan, this includes Ghana star Christian Atsu.

Atsu was in action for ten minutes as the Italian manager supervised his Chelsea side succumbed to a surprising 2-0 loss against Austrian side Rapid Vienna on Saturday.

The Rapid game was the first time the former FC Porto starlet had don the jersey of the Stamford Bridge club since joining two summers ago.

After spending loan times at Vitesse Arhem, Everton, Bournemouth and Malaga, the 24-year-old is eager to impress Conte and win a place in his squad for next season.

However, ghanasoccernet has it that he is facing fierce competition on the wings from Nigerian Victor Moses as well as Eden Hazard who are all established Premier League names.

Defender Baba Rahman is not in a different condition though he enjoyed some game times last season Conte is watching the former Asante Kotoko player to assess his adaptability to his style.
