Rev. Eastwood Anaba has not frowned at gaining riches on earth, but rather at not being charitable with one’s riches. President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries has urged Christians to use their resources to help one another, as demonstrated in the story of the ‘Good Samaritan’ in the Bible.
The renowned man of God who was delivering a sermon at the Trinity Baptist Church in Accra, said it is ungodly for a Christian to accumulate wealth and live in luxury, while people commit suicide, die from curable diseases, drop out of school, go to bed hungry or commit sin because of poverty.
During his sermon centred on the theme “The Supreme Jesus; The Love Revolution”, the man of God took out time to address some overlooked issues in the church, which really matter in the eyes of God. According to Rev. Anaba, the true expression of the love of God is by helping one another, which is Jesus Christ’s summary of the Ten commandments; loving God absolutely and loving one’s neighbour as one’s self.
Rev. Eastwood Anaba lamented the fact that the spirit of brotherliness has gradually left the church, and wickedness prevailed. He urged Christians to be eager to help one another.
Referring to the wealthy ones, the Reverend said that: “If your riches are not in action for good works, then you are actually poor because you are not solving the problems that Christians are mandated to address.”
He also said that it is more important to attend to the needs of others than to attend to God’s.
The sermon delivered by the President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries, marked the end of the Church’s Five-day Integrity Conference. The conference is marked annually for Christians to reaffirm their commitment to serve God and mankind with integrity.
