Ghana’s Atsu and Rahman are to come under Antonio Conte’s close observation during Chelsea’s match today. According to ghanasoccernet.com, Ghana internationals Christian Atsu and Baba Rahman are expected to get some minutes on the pitch when Chelsea take on Austrian top flight side Wolfsberger in their second preseason game.
Rahman started and lasted just 45 minutes as the Chelsea succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hand of Rapid Vienna three days ago.
The defeat brought out the frailties in the Chelsea set-up that put up their best premiership performance under the Roman era last season.
Atsu was given the last seven minutes to stake a claim to remain at the club and apart from some intelligent off the ball movement, it was normal business.
Atsu and Rahman will again come under the microscope when the Blues finally look to display what Coach Antonio Conte has been cocking since he took over two weeks ago.
