Nana Addo made it clear to the people that their power to change Ghana’s future lies in their thumbs.
Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo has continued to persuade Ghanaians to vote him into power come December 7. The NPP flagbearer told party supporters during his tour of the Okaikoi South and Ablekuma Central constituencies on Saturday, October 29 that he has too much love and respect for the people of Ghana to lie to them.
Nana Akufo-Addo in his address, continued to reiterate his promise of not disappointing Ghanaians if voted into power in this year’s election. He made it clear to the people that Ghana’s future as well as their power to change their living conditions lie in their thumbs.
As is stipulated by law, the time has come, this year, for us to vote and decide who leads us. Let us use the power of our thumbs to change Ghana and bring in a government that can change our circumstances, and bring relief, progress and prosperity to all, he said.
He bemoaned the poverty level in the country under the Mahama-led administration despite the availability of resources in the country which are enough to raise the people out of poverty if well-managed. The excited crowed who are all yearning for change were busy chanting “Nana oo Nana”, “yɛresesamu”, and “afi yi yɛ wa fi”.
Akufo-Addo appealed to the people to vote him into power at the elections seeing that the economy has drastically dwindled under the incumbent NDC government. He noted that what Ghanaians have been facing under the Mahama is massive unemployment, high cost of living, untold hardship, suffering and hopelessness, adding that the President is a threat to Ghana’s future.
Addressing residents around Kokompe, Kaneshie Market and Bubuashie, Nana Addo assured them that the NPP has mapped out policies and programmes that would make the Ghanaian currency strong, as well as bring growth for their businesses. The NPP flagbearer urged the people to have confidence in him and the NPP’s message of change. He pointed out that they have laid down policies which will be implemented to create jobs and wealth in the country.
Also speaking to a crowd of supporters at ‘Town Council Line’, Nana Addo stated categorically that “President John Dramani Mahama’s continued stay in office poses a threat to the future of the country”.
Making reference to the various promises he has been making, the third-time aspiring president assured the people that he has too much love and respect for Ghanaians to lie to them. He stressed that he has intentions of keeping every promise he makes to the people if given the chance to serve as Ghana’s president.
Nana Addo ended his five-day tour of the Volta Region on Saturday, and is expected to move on to the Greater Accra Region.
