Ghana’s K.K Fosu reportedly collapsed yesterday at Agbogba in Accra. According to reports, the highlife artiste collapsed after rehearsing ten songs on Tuesday, March 22 ahead of an EIB high-life concert he is scheduled to perform. It appears the talented Fosu had used up his energy and could no longer keep up with his rehearsals for the concert.
Mel Kwesi Davis who is K.K Fosu’s manager confirmed to Zionflex.com that the singer collapsed after rehearsals.
He had finished rehearsing ten songs so the incident happened after the rehearsing not during the live band rehearsal session,” Mel Kwesi said.
He reportedly lost control during a rigorous rehearsal session in preparation for the concert. The ‘6 O’clock’ hit-maker at the moment is responding to treatment. According to his manager, he has been discharged from Cedar Medical Hospital at Haatso in Accra where he was earlier admitted.
KK Fosu is known as one of Ghana’s young talented high life musicians. He is known for his unique style of singing. According to most analysts, he is that highlife artiste who can switch and manipulate his vocal chords to sound like an R&B artist in one song while he appears like a highlife artist in the next.
His songs have strong similarities with highlife big wigs like Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba and Daasebre Gyamenah. From his style of music it is seen that K.K. Fosu looks up to these experienced highlife musicians for inspiration.
At the moment, it is not completely certain that Fosu will still perform at the EIB high-life concert, but from the reports gotten, he is responding fast to treatment.
We are wishing the talented artiste a speedy recovery.
