Reliable sources have confirmed the late Kessben FM journalist’s autopsy report is finally out. Pathologists who conducted postmortem have hinted that the late Kumasi journalist Confidence Eric Kwadwo Baah, could have died as a result of asphyxiation by food particles.
Asphyxiation according to experts, is a condition in which the body either does not get enough oxygen to continue normal function or has too much carbon dioxide to function properly. Samples of the internal organs and fluids have been taken to Accra for further examination, with the actual cause of his death still under investigation.
Late Confidence Baah was the host of ‘Breaking News’ at Kessben Radio and Television. The deceased 32, died on Sunday morning at the Effiduase Government Hospital. He had been found motionless by his aunt, who subsequently rushed him to the hospital where he died. Prior to the autopsy report, there had been several speculations of what the cause of death of the deceased was, since he never complained of any ill health.
The police had commenced investigations, which led to the arrest of his girlfriend Florence Osei, also known as Afua Birago 37. She was reported to have spent the night with him several hours before he was found unconscious.
Following news of his death, tons of tributes have been rolling in from friends and well wishers of the family, as well as the general public. Management of Kessben Fm/TV has opened a book of condolence at Dufie Conference Hall, Aseda House for its former staff. Baa’s death has also caused the station to adjust its normal programme schedule to accommodate series of dirges and recordings of the late journalist.
