There have been more new leads on the Kwame-Danso robbery which saw the death of a Police constable who was shot near Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo Region. The deceased Police constable, Frank Adu Klu, was shot dead by robbers last Tuesday while he was escorting a commercial bus.

The police had picked up the prime suspect Shamaha Hakeem also known as Chief Mallam Jackie, during its investigations on the Kwame-Danso robbery attack. According to reports, the prime suspect Shamaha Hakeem who was arrested in his hide out on June 13, mentioned five names that accompanied him to commit the robbery.
Among the mentioned names are two police officers who are currently in the grips of the Brong Ahafo Regional Police command. The Police arrested them for allegedly aiding the said robbery attack. They are: Lance corporal Asiedu Mensah and Corporal Solomon Abu.
The public is still baffled at the recent discovery which has alleged that two police officers are involved in the robbery. According to the Brong Ahafo Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Christopher Tawia, the suspect confessed that one of the arrested officers sold the ammunition used for the robbery to him while the other one took part in the physical attack, which led to the death of the constable. Furthermore, it has been discovered that the two police officers are from the Goaso and Atebubu divisions respectively.
Moreover, it was earlier on reported, that the robbery suspects were up to seven in number. Having found two suspects, the police said they are still on the search for more. The police who has been digging deep since word about the death of the constable broke out, hopes to find all possible suspects so that justice can be duly served.
