In a Facebook post, Kwaw Kese stated that he is not supporting any party and has no plans of doing so. Rumours of his endorsement of the NPP were fueled by some unknown bloggers who quoted him to have pledged support for the party. But Kwaw Kese in his post, said he was pursuing the option of suing the blogger or media house behind the lies.

Dear Madtimers,

There is news going around that I have said I’ll vote for a particular political party.

Pls ignore that in the name of God. I have never said that anywhere and don’t even take part in any voting. This is false news and my team and I are working to sue any blogger or media house reporting these lies.

I don’t support and would never support any political party. What I support is GHANA.
Pls tell your friends and everybody around you that this is a false News and they must ignore it. Thank you

Yours truly

Kwaw Kese

So there we have it; Kwaw Kese has not endorsed any political party. Unlike Shatta Wale and Kwa Kese, different celebrities have publicly declared support for various political contenders ahead of this year’s election. Some have gone as far as joining political party campaign trails as they strive to ensure that their respective candidates become Ghana’s choice, come December.

Celeb supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress include; John Dumelo, Mr. Beautiful, Selassie Ibrahim, Mzbel, Bukom Banku, to mention a few. The NPP has also had a fair share of super star supporters. They include; Agyaa Koo, Wisa Gried, Kwabena Kwabena, Daddy Lumba, and many more.
