Lucky Mensah who openly campaigned for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win the 2008 presidential elections, has now broken ties with the party for failing the country.

Speaking on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch, Lucky Mensah campaigns for NPP; explaining that for him to ditch the ruling party for being incompetent.

The ‘come back to me’ hitmaker is very optimistic his campaign would secure a win for the NPP, just like it did for the incumbent NDC in 2008.

Speaking on the programme; the veteran musician, said he trusted the NDC to continue the works of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, but to his greatest disappointment, the administration has driven the country into disarray.

He explained he had hoped that Prof Mills; when he won the elections in 2008, would continue the good works of President Kufour, which was why he composed a song for the NDC.

However, when Mils passed on, he still supported the NDC with the hope that President Mahama will deliver, but things have rather gotten worse, hence his decision to ditch the ruling party.

Lucky said it is sad that instead of the NDC to stabilize the deteriorating economy, it is engulfed by corrupt practices. He added that he’ll be disappointing Ghanaians, if he continues to support the NDC in spite of their bad governance.

To further show his support for NPP, Alex Mensah recorded a campaign song for the party. Watch the video for the song below
