President Mahama commissions naval headquarters in full military regalia…
On Thursday, 11th August, President John Dramani Mahama was at Burmah in Accra to inaugurate the new naval headquarters built at the camp. As the Commander-in-Chief of Ghana’s Armed Forces, Mahama appeared in full military regalia to commission the new facility. And, he looks so smart in it!
It is interesting to note that, this is the first time a democratically elected President of the country is appearing in the uniform of the armed forces since after former president Jerry Rawlings’ tenure.
Mahama during the event, reminded the people that his administration has worked efficiently as regards the provision of all resources and equipment required by Ghana’s Armed Forces to function effectively.
The President specifically mentioned that his government has tackled the problem of accommodation in the armed forces through the construction of some accommodation facilities.
The newly commissioned ultra-modern facility, is expected to enhance operations of the navy, as well as take care of the advanced technology in which the organisation now operates.
