Actor Majid Michel has turned evangelist to the surprise of very few people, considering his recent public declaration of a new-found faith in God
That Majid Michel, a former atheist is now a born again Christian, is no more news in Ghana and beyond.
However, there has been a recent development in his practice of his new found faith. The ace actor was recently spotted preaching and performing deliverance in a church.
Majid was at the Zoe International Chapel at Tabora, Accra alongside two other colleagues Paschal Amanfo and Timothy Bentum for an event.
Themed “Breaking Alters”, the event which lasted for four days saw Majid lay hands on some of the members of the congregation, as they prayed passionately. One thing is uncertain though; we do not know if this is his new occupation, or if mounting the pulpit will be on special occasions only.
Social media has been abuzz with pictures and videos from the event, where it has been proven beyond reasonable doubts that Majid’s new found faith is neither a farce nor a stunt. Timothy Bentum who is now a pastor now was also seen laying hands on people and praying for them.
Majid who was believed to be an atheist earlier this year, took to social media to declare his new found faith in God. Following his declaration, the actor has been heard and seen on different occasions including interviews, professing his faith, and expressing his satisfaction with his decision.
In recent times, the talented actor has also used various platforms available to him to preach the word of God, and to teach the true meaning of religion.
As part of their evangelical work, Majid and Timothy Bentum are set to bring under one umbrella Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians for Christ (APPMC); a Christian evangelism movement targeted at using brands of Ghana’s influential celebrities to win souls for God. The event will take place on October 30, at the Maker’s house, Kwabenya, Accra.
