Though the NDC in recent times have made fun of Nana Addo’s promises, the NPP Flagbearer has maintained he will fulfil every one of them if he wins the presidential election.
The New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo, has assured Ghanaians that he will fulfil every promise he makes in the course of his campaign. The NPP Presidential Candidate said this while addressing residents of Dambai in the Volta Region.
Nana Addo has made so many promises ahead of this year’s elections. Some of Nana Addo’s promises include; creating a new region from the Western region, 1 village 1 dam policy, 1 district 1 factory policy, reviving the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), to mention a few.
Though the National Democratic Party (NDC) in recent times have made fun of Nana Addo’s promises, the NPP Flagbearer has maintained he will fulfil every one of them if he wins the presidential election.
In his address, Nana Addo said he did not make the promises to secure votes only, but to fulfil them. He explained that he is really keen about transforming the country’s harsh economic conditions, which is the main motive behind his many promises.
Nana Addo asserted that he will run a government that will be accountable to the people, not one fuelled by propaganda as is being done by President Mahama and his party.
…should God permit me to be your President, I will accomplish all these promises diligently, Nana Addo said.
The NPP Flagbearer also pointed out that, the fulfilment of his promises would be so evident that he would not need a green book to prove anything. Nana Addo was referring to the NDC green book, which contains the achievements of the Mahama-led administration since the President assumed office.
Nana Addo who is on a five-day tour of the Volta region has gotten a number of endorsements from traditional chiefs in the region. The NPP Flagbearer has been endorsed by the Peki chief, Biakoye chief, among others. The NPP according to reports, have gained strong grounds at Volta which is considered an NDC stronghold.
The party says they will exceed their 30% votes target in the Volta Region. According to the NPP, there is an awe-inspiring evidence that they have gained more grounds in the NDC stronghold than expected.
Ghana heads to the polls on December 7. Nana Addo will compete for the Presidential seat against President Mahama who is vying for a second term, and other presidential aspirants.
