Nana Addo’s title was conferred on him, when he paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Chakale Traditional Area, Bulenga Naa Seidu Nawalogne IV, on the second day of his tour of the Region.

The Chief gave the NPP flagbearer the title referring to him as a man of great patience, and also a man who has great love for Ghana. Explaining the reason behind his conferment of the title, the Bulenga Naa told Nana Addo that, having watched him over the years, he has come to conclude that he is a man of an exemplary character.

The Bulenga Naa made reference to the 2012 presidential elections, as one of the ways Nana Addo showed great patience and understanding, as well as love for the country.  According to the chief, though the 2012 presidential elections did not go in favour of the NPP flagbearer, he chose the side of responsibility and asked Ghanaians to keep calm, and not take the outcome of the elections personal.

The Bulenga Naa thanked him for the singular act which has sustained peace in the country since then. He also gave his blessings to the NPP Presidential hopeful ahead of the elections. He indicated that Nana Addo who is a person of wisdom, can effect the change he has promised Ghanaians. He also said the people would do the right thing for him during the elections in December.
