Two Already Dead; Ghana to Lose More Lives If Obinim Is Not Released! – Followers

According to them, Obinim’s arrest has caused the death of two of his ‘patients’ admitted in his church, and more will follow suit if the ‘healer’ is not released soon.

Followers of the controversial pastor of International Godsway Church (IGC), Bishop Daniel Obinim have alleged that the minister’s detention is claiming lives. According Kasapafmonline reports, the crowd of supporters who were agitating over Obinim’s arrest at the Nima Police Headquarters alleged that two sick persons who were brought to the church for healing gave up the ghost on Tuesday owing to the Bishop’s absence. They also claim that more of the sick persons who need his attention are on the brink of joining their ancestors if the man of God fails to come to their aid in no distant time.

Obinim’s loyalists argued that their pastor was arrested out of sheer hatred and jealousy over the mighty works God has been using him to do in the lives of people in the country. According to them, Obinim’s arrest has caused the death of two of his ‘patients’ admitted in his church, and worse still, Ghana will lose more of such lives if their healer [Angel Obinim] is not released as soon as possible.

Although those ‘mighty works’ were usually criticized as fake by a good section of the public, Obinim has been popularly remarked for his various miraculous healing escapades. Since after his arrest on Tuesday over an Ghc11.6 million fraud allegation, his followers have massively thronged the police headquarters in Nima, agitating for his release.

The police however sent them packing Wednesday, using water cannon after which they transferred the accused Bishop to an unknown location. It was however later discovered through recent reports that he was taken to the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) for more interrogation.

Just as has always been the case, Bishop Obinim has been in the news recently for the very wrong reasons. The case of the pastor flogging a boy and a girl mercilessly with his belt during a church service over alleged fornication and attempted abortion is still under investigation when news broke that he allegedly duped a gold dealer of a whopping Ghc11.6 million. It was however the later that led to his immediate arrest by the Tema Regional Police Command on Tuesday.

He has since been detained, awaiting prosecution. Just as he denied committing any offence in flogging the teenagers, Obinim’s lawyer reportedly disclosed that he has as well denied having any knowledge of the latest crime he is being accused of.
