Rapper Wisa in an NPP rally Monday endorsed the party’s flag bearer, pledging full support in the upcoming presidential election
Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Eugene Ashie popularly known on stage as Wisa recently disclosed his support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The popular rapper said he has been a supporter of the NPP right from his childhood. His reasons being that his father is also an NPP loyalist, and also because he believes Nana Akufo-Addo has what it takes to make Ghana a better place.
Wisa made this declaration during the NPP flagbearer’s campaign tour of the La Dadekotopon constituency Monday.
Speaking to a mammoth crowd of NPP supporters, Wisa said he was elated to meet Nana Akufo-Addo and believes in his ability to change Ghana’s economy.
We would recall that rapper Wisa has been in the news recently for allegedly showing his manhood during a stage performance at the ‘Decemba 2 Rememba’ concert organised by Accra-based Citi FM on December 24, 2015.
It was reported that in the course of his performance on stage, the musician while wiggling his waist behind a voluptuous lady drew down his white boxer shorts which was already showing in his saggy jeans and pulled out his manhood, rubbing it behind the lady.
After the ugly incident, the media had been flooded with video clips of the Wisa’s disgraceful act. The development was frowned at by all and sundry including the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). It was never taken for granted as he the rapper was sued for this obscene act.
Although Wisa had then apologised for his actions, on an interview on Delay Show, he said he never regrets his action.
Meanwhile, the case is still in court.
