Samira Bawumia, wife of the vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to vote for the party on December 7 due to its track record in government.
Bawumia’s wife has intensified her campaign for the NPP ahead of the December elections. Samira has urged the people to turn their votes to the NPP, as the party is committed to transforming Ghana to improve the lives of citizens.
Samira Bawumia has also indicated that the NPP has shown they have a lot of respect for Muslims in the country by choosing her husband who is a Muslim, to be the flagbearer Nana Addo’s running mate. She made these assertions while speaking with the Muslim community at Prestea and Bogoso, in the Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency of the Western Region, as part of her three-day campaign tour of the region.
Interacting with members of the Muslim community, Samira talked a lot on why the NPP should be given mandate to rule come December. Bawumia’s wife also accused the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) for mismanaging the country’s economy, by amassing wealth at the detriment of Ghanaians.
She lamented that since the NDC assumed office, development in the area has declined tremendously. She also accused the NDC of buying votes to emerge victorious, and stated that Ghanaians would be alert this time around and would also resist any form of propaganda this electioneering period.
Bawumia’s wife assured the people that there will be a massive change in the country’s economic status if the NPP is given the mandate to rule. She also called on the Muslims to ensure peace before, during and after the December elections.
