Popular Ghanaian rapper, Micheal Owusu Addo, known in showbiz as Sarkodie celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday, Sunday, July 10th. He was born 10th July, 1985.
To mark the birthday with him, thousands of fans sent across their goodwill messages to the rap gad. The most passionate of all is the birthday message from his little daughter, Adalyn, passionately called Titi, and her mum, Tracy.
Posting a photo of his three-month-old daughter in an “I love Dad” T-shirt, Sarkodie wrote: ‘Titi wishing Daddy HBD’.
Tracy on her own part, celebrated Sarkodie on Twitter. Also posting a love-struck photo of Sark and herself, she wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my KING’.
Flag bearer of the New Patriotic party, Nana Akuffo-Addo also sent him birthday wishes on twitter. He wrote:
@sarkodie. I wish you long life and good health, and may your music continue to inspire the youth of our country.’

Interestingly, Sarkodie’s birthday coincides with that of great world celebrities, in the likes of actress Sofia Vergara, pop singer Jessica Simpson, footballer Mario Gomez, and actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.
As Sarkodie turns 31, we can count numerous feats the musician have achieved. He was brought to the entertainment limelight by his debut Makye in 2009. Since then, he has worn multiple awards both locally and internationally. In 2012, Sarkodie was named Best International Act: Africa by Black Entertainment Television(BET), U.S.A.
Sarkodie was ranked 8th on Forbes and Channel O’s 2013 list of the Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artistes. He has been ranked among top African rappers by such prominent outfits as MTV Base and Guardian UK. Early this year, the rapper was ranked the 19th Most Influential Ghanaian by e-TV Ghana. He was also made the 2106 list of 100 Most Influential Creatives on Earth. Moreover, Sarkodie topped the 2016 list of Most Influential Ghanaian Musicians on social media.
The multifaceted rapper is a face of Fan Yogurt, Tigo Ghana,Samsung galaxy phone and the brand ambassador forSamsung electronics.
Sarkodie already has four albums to his credit. They are: Makye (2009), Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014) and Mary (2015). He is generally considered a pioneer of the Afrobeat sub-genre Azonto for his single U Go Kill Me.
