International Child actor Abraham Attah stars in a new movie titled ‘Out of the Village’. Following his debut movie ‘Beasts of No Nation’, Abraham at the moment features in this movie which was shot in West Africa with a local cast and crew.
Out of the Village is about the social and cultural impact of the Ebola epidemic from the perspective of an orphaned brother and his sister. The brother and his sister seek closure after Ebola had ravaged their village. The 17 minute tralier has started showing at festivals around the world at the moment.
The movie which was Executive produced by American film director, film producer, writer, and actor, Bryan Singer (X-Men), features Abraham Attah as ‘Mebro’ the orphaned brother. The trailer for the short film directed by Jonathan Stein is also available on the internet.
Although the movie is not out already, it has won two awards including Best International Short Film at Foyle Film Festival 2015 and Best International Film at Show Me Shorts Film Festival 2015.
The movie was also nominated for Best Film at Flickerfest International Short Film Festival 2016 and Evolution International Film Festival 2015.
Abraham has had quite a good and remarkable start for himself following his début Beast of No Nation which also starred Hollywood actor Idris Elba. The fifteen year old boy who shot the movie when he was fourteen has been recognized nationally and internationally for his remakarble start.
The appraisal which climaxed when he was selected to present an awards at the Oscars wowed Ghanaians across the globe with many admiring his achievement.
As a matter of fact Abraham Attah was picked up randomly to feature in the debut movie which has brought him a lot of glory. He has got not less than four awards for the movie and counting.
