Kumawood star Wayoosi’s daughter who is only six months old has died as a result of drug overdose.
Kumasi based actor, Joseph Nana Osei Kofi aka Wayoosi has lost his six month old daughter, Blessing Osei Fremah. Fondly called Nhyira, the little baby born to the family six months ago, reportedly died today, Thursday, October 13.
Zionflex had an interactive session with Eugene Moratt, spokesperson of the family who broke the news. Narrating the incident, Moratt who is also Assistant FIPAG general secretary, said the Kumawood star called him saying the child was sick as a result of a reaction to a certain drug.
Eugene continued that when he went there on Wednesday (October 12) they had put oxygen, as they tried to get rid of the unwanted medicine administered to her. According to the spokesperson, the doctor explained that the six moth old baby was given 5ml instead if 2.5ml of the drug which later led to her death.
This is quite unfortunate, considering the fact that there have been series of death rumours in the family in the last few years. This terrifying news of the death of Wayoosi’s daughter has brought many to tears. Nhyira’s death comes few months after the actor survived a fatal illness which almost took his life.
The actor had been admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, after he came down with a strange disease which caused his stomach to bloat. However, he was later discharged after he started responding positively to treatment. After his discharge, he had in an interview, bemoaned false reports saying he was dead.
It is so sad that little Nhyira did not get the opportunity to know her parents. May her pure soul rest in peace.
