As the year 2015 is about to elapse, it is very worthwhile to recount our blessings. Some people would have been counted among the dead if not for divine interventions, and some of our famous celebrities are among those that enjoyed this rare favour. Below are Ghanaian celebs who would not have made it to the end of this year.
When the news broke out on the 1st of April this year, so many people took it to be a hoax owing to the fact that its April fool’s day. But it was soon confirmed that the popular and stylish radio presenter, KOD was involved in what would have been a very fatal accident. He was then rushed to the surgical unit of the 37 Military Hospital where he received treatments. Thanks to God almighty we didn’t lose such a great entertainment figure this year!

It was on the 3rd of October that the disturbing news filtered in that beautiful Vivian was involved in a ghastly motor accident. Panic filled the air as fans hoped and prayed she’ll be fine. She was admitted at the 37 Military Hospital Accra where it was confirmed that she did not sustain fatal injuries. She recuperated after a few days and was discharged. We give glory to God for sparing her life!
On 20th September, musician, Bisa Kdei and some members of his team were involved in an accident. The accident happened some few metres away from the toll booth near the Aburi Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region, where Kdei, who was leading a team of two cars in his Jaguar, pulled his brakes to allow a Fulani herdsman to cross the road with his cattle.
It was really a fatal accident that Odelia was involved in on that fateful Thursday being 8th of October. While 2 people were left dead by the auto-crash, our dear Odelia was lucky to come out alive and virtually unhurt.
The accident occurred when the Toyota Land cruiser belonging to the Geological Survey Department on which she and her other colleagues were travelling to Sunyani collided with a Hyundai Grace mini urvan bus at the Bunso roundabout Thursday morning.
Popular Ghanaian rapper, Yaa Pono was involved in an accident which occurred around 12:30am, Sunday 8th June along the Koforidua – Nyame Bekyere high way on his way to a concert organized by Joy Daddy Bitter after a grand performance at La Beach. According to the reports, the accident was caused by a brake failure which forced the driver to loose control of the vehicle. Thanks to God who was on his side, only his vehicle was damaged. He sustained minor injuries.
The actress was said to be returning from a movie location in Sunyani when three of her Land Rover Car tyres exploded simultaneously. In an interview with Ghlinks.net the actress said,
I thank God almighty for saving my life and also thank the people who rescued my life, I thank all who spend their time praying for me, all my friends, colleagues, family members who have spent time to visit me here”.
This also happened in October.
Yaa Konadu is a Juvenile Kumawood Actress and Student Known in Showbiz as Maame Yaa. Maame Yaa’s accident, according to her father Mr. Jackson K. Betum, happened on Wednesday night at about 7pm on Tech –Ejisu Road when she was on her way to location to shoot a movie. She was then admitted at the Tech hospital following the incident in Kumasi.
Yaa Konadu’s accident came barely two weeks after those of Viviam Jill and Benedicta Gafah.
On 31st July, the popular and much admired Ghanaian comedian and radio personality, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng aka Funny Face was unfortunately involved in a serious car accident. But we are celebrating the sparing of his precious life today as we recount how it all happened.
Actress, Vicky Zugah, on Wednesday, sustained injuries after a Toyota Corolla she was driving got involved in an accident. Zugah was returning home from a movie location at about 2am when a Kia truck ran into her car, damaging it in the process. The windscreen of the car was damaged in the accident, with some particles entering into the actress’ left eye. However, it took just a couple of days and she got herself back to normal. We remain grateful to God on her behalf.
