Notorious Masked Armed Robber Nicknamed ‘Killer’ Has Been Arrested [See Photos]

Reports reveal that a 43-year-old masked robber has been arrested by the Accra Regional Police Command.

The reports from disclosed that the masked robber is one Charles Donkor popularly known as ‘killer’. He was nabbed by the police on Tuesday, 1st November near Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region, at 11.30pm for unlawful possession of weapons, arms and ammunition. His arrest followed police intelligence in an operation that lasted three hours.

The police carried out a search on Killer’s hideout and retrieved items which include; an AK47, an SMG rifle, two AK 47 magazines, two G3 magazines, forty-three G3 empty shells, 188 rounds of G3 ammunition, 77 rounds of AK 47 ammunition. Other weapons and tools retrieved are thirteen cutlasses, three face masks, two hammers and two screwdrivers.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra, the Regional Police Commander, ACP Timothy Yosa Bonga, said Charles Donkor is suspected to have been dealing in illegal weapons. According to the Police Commander, “he is a hardened armed robber, a land guard, a killer and a murderer”.

He also reported that Charles Donkor was previously arrested by the police on the 31st of October 2013. Then, the police had gotten one revolver pistol, one pump action gun, and 29 rounds of live ammunition through in his possession.

Donkor was freed after being tried at a law court and sentenced to a fine for possession of arms without authority. Yosa Bonga said it is clear that the criminal has not changed from his notorious criminal activities since then, until this latest arrest.

The ACP assured the public that the Police is bent on sniffing out all persons in possession of illegal arms as well as those who engage in any form of criminal acts in order to ensure that peace is maintained before, during and after the imminent elections.
