Agya Koo at Techiman North took the Agenda 57% campaign for Nana Addo, the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to a whole new level . The award-winning actor went into action aimed at ensuring Nana Addo’s 57% domination at the December polls.
Techiman North was brought to a halt as the ace comedian stormed the campaign venue with his entourage, to campaign for Akufo Addo and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Martin Oti Gyarko.
When the MC of the occasion made the announcement that Agya Koo had arrived at the venue, people rushed from their houses to catch a glimpse of the comedian and listen to his message. Agya Koo since the event has been said, to be more popular than many A-list celebrities in the country.
Agya Koo at Techiman North made judicious use of his turn when he was given the opportunity to speak; to explain why the people should vote Nana Addo and the NPP in the coming elections. The ace comedian engaged the delighted crowd with his outstanding message of change. Starting off with the popular school children song titled
Starting off with the popular school children song titled “Se woni danta, kope pioto” (If you don’t have a linen ephod go for underwear), Agya Koo admonished the energetic crowd not be deceived by the mouth-watering promises of the NDC.
He urged them to remain focused amid the ‘swaying distractions’, till December 7 where they will have the opportunity to vote the NDC out of power. He explained that it is only when Mahama is voted out of power, that Nana Addo will have the chance to implement his one district, one factory, one village, one dam, as well as other promises.
Bearing in mind the criticisms against hurled at Nana Addo for making such promises, Agya Koo at Techiman North, explained that there’s nothing that cannot be done earth if one sets his priorities straight. He also bemoaned the fact that the incumbent NDC spends the country’s resources, in buying V8 Land Cruisers for chiefs and queen mothers, considering the dwindling economy.
Matilda Asare who is National Coordinator of the Agenda 57% campaign, also address supporters of the party at the campaign launch. The party’s MP hopeful during his turn also assured the people that all the promises made to them will be fulfilled. He also urged them to turn their votes for the NPP come December.
Agya Koo last week pledged his support for the NPP and its flagbearer, citing the harsh economic conditions as his main reason for endorsing Nana Addo.
