Ghana’s national team captain, Asamoah Gyan left many jaws dropping after he acquired ‘La Basilica de Baby Jet’, a magnificent and luxury mansion confirmed to be worth 3 million US Dollars!
The popular striker who currently plays for Arab Side Al-Ahli organised an elaborate house opening ceremony in honour of the architectural masterpiece on the night of Saturday, the 27th of June, 2015 at the MCcarthy Hill area of Accra, Ghana. The occasion was graced by his fellow footballers and a host of other significant figures in the society. It was on this grand ceremony that Asamoah Gyan whose nick name is Baby Jet, openly christened the house, La Basilica de Baby Jet; that is, “Basilica of the Baby Jet”. Interesting!
The house which was built by the reputable Blockfields Ghana LTD, is a breath-taking massive three-storey mansion. It has very unique and enviable features which include, two bars, a massive swimming pool overlooking a water body, with a private access route; a cinema which takes up to 50 people, high security features including bullet proof doors, among others. Some of the rooms in the house boasts electric bulbs with a life span of 23 years; a quality that made Gyan say he has no business with bulbs till further notice!
This is considered a feat by everyone; but to Gyan, its no big deal considering his weekly and monthly salary which stood at £227,000 and £11.8 million respectively, as at 2016! The Black Stars skipper subsequently released a video tour of his Basilica, and it’s really mind blowing! Watch below.
