Ghanaian Hollywood Star Boris Kodjoe Posts Heartfelt Tribute for Late Dad

Hollywood Actor, Boris Kodjoe lost his father, Dr. Eric Ofuatey Kodjoe on Thursday, April 21 at age 78. Boris took to Instagram to break the news, posting a very touching message about his Ghanaian dad which has drawn lots of attention from the public. The 43-year-old ‘Real Husbands’ of Hollywood star took to the social media platform to pay tribute to his father. Expressing his love for his dad, he also said he has forgiven him.

His post read;

”I miss you already. Trying to numb the voices of all the should-haves and could-haves because they don’t matter now. I asked God to make your journey peaceful and joyous. No more pain, no more regrets and guilt.

I forgive you, Dad. I love you, and I will honor and remember you forever. Thank you for the time we spent and thank you for being a great Opa to Sophie and Nico. They have memories for a lifetime. Know that you are loved eternally. Now be free and your Soul full of Joy. Dr Eric Ofuatey Kodjoe (30.12.38 – 21.4.16)”.

The Ghanaian Hollywood star, Boris Kodjoe, is one of the popular Hollywood actors that so many people do not know are of Ghanaian decent. He was born on March 8, 1973 in Vienna, Austria to Ursula Kodjoe, a German psychologist of partially Jewish descent, and Eric Kodjoe, a Ghanaian physician from Nzema in the Western region. He  is also known for his roles as Kelby in the 2002 film ‘Brown Sugar’, and the sports-courier agent Damon Carter on the Showtime drama series Soul Food.

Boris Kodjoe got married to Hollywood actress Nicole Ari Parker in 2005 and they are blessed with two children, Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe and Sophie Tei Naaki Lee Kodjoe.
