Ghastly Car Crash Kills Five Including NDC Youth Activist

An NDC Youth activist has been confirmed to be among the five persons killed on the spot in a ghastly motor accident along the Amenfi Central District of the Western Region.

The NDC Youth activist together with four others were in a taxi cab travelling from Bogoso to Asankragua when they collided with a Yutong Bus travelling from Assankragua to Accra.

The governing NDC activist who before the time of death was the Deputy Youth Organizer for Amenfi Central constituency as been confirmed as Brother Asiedu. Another identified body was that of the Odikro [Chief] of Nyame Bekyere, Nana Kofi Ntebene. The three other victims are yet to be identified.

The District Police Commander for the Amenfi West and Central districts, DSP Kingsley Owusu Bempah confirmed the incidence to Citi News saying;

The taxi car was travelling from Bogoso to Asankragua while the Yutong bus was heading to Accra from Assankragua. Upon reaching a community called K. Boateng in Amenfi Central, nobody knows what happened but there was a collision. Suddenly all the male passengers in the taxi died instantly.

Also confirming the death of Brother Asiedu was Peter Kwakye Ackah, the District Chief Executive for the Amenfi Central District. He stated that the NDC constituency executives have scheduled a meeting to have their own look into the mournful incidence.

Casualties and the location of passengers of the Yutong bus are yet to be confirmed.

According to DSP Owusu Bempah, the bodies of the deceased have been transported into a private morgue located in the district while his men are currently underway to investigate the unfortunate occurrence.
