The family of Castro who are still dealing with his mysterious disappearance and possible death have roared out against Bolinga Nation CEO, Nana Boroo’s video ‘Kotofa’. The much anticipated video features the missing Castro with animations of him very much pronounced in the video.
Animations of Castro can be seen appearing in various scenes of the music video, including one with the missing award winning vocalist cruising a Bentley. According to some sources, the family has called on Nana Boroo to allow the spirit of the star to rest because these images and songs bring back sad memories whenever they are shown.
Consequently, a member of Castro’s family reportedly called the Nana Boroo asking him to pull down the video. The video which was directed by Oskhari, and produced by Kaywa features Castro who lays his signature voice around Nana Boroo’s verses.
Castro’s Mysterious Disappearance
Afrobeats artist, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro went missing, along with friend Janet Bandu, in July 2014. They reportedly got missing while using jet skis on a holiday with former Sunderland striker, Asamoah Gyan’s family in the Ghanaian coastal town of Ada.
The duo were last seen heading towards the ocean on a jet ski and were presumed drowned. However, no bodies were recovered after the incident, thereby presenting the situation as a quite mysterious one.
So many attempts were made to rescue the missing persons, or at least uncover the mystery behind their disappearance, all to no avail. It happened that a spiritualist who claimed he could save Castro almost got drowned as he made a daring move to rescue him. Up till this moment, there have been no leads to his whereabouts.
One may not blame the family at all for the action they are taking against Nana Boroo as the public recall of the ugly incident is certainly going to be a very painful one for them. On the other hand, Nana should have sought their consent before going ahead to feature their missing son in his video.
