No Artiste, Not Even Shatta Wale Outshines Me in the North – Fancy Gadam

The massive crowd which graced his album launch has never been seen in any major event organised by Ghana’s A-list artistes. This has made Fancy Gadam to be vouched the greatest artiste so far in the northern region of Ghana.

Hiplife artiste Ahmed Mujahid Bello, known on stage as Fancy Gadam has attempted to prove Shatta movement wrong by saying he is more popular in Northern Ghana than dance hall gad Shatta Wale. Not only Shatta, the Tamale based artiste says he is bigger in the northern part of Ghana, than any other Ghanaian artiste.

He said this during an interview with Sammy Flex on AM Pluzz on Pluzz FM. Tamale’s Fancy boldly declared on the programme that even though the likes of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Samini, Stonebwoy and the rest are all bigger than him as a brand, he has more following in the North. He went ahead to say that he would pull the biggest crowd to a show in the northern region than any of the big stars he mentioned.

Following his daring claims, Sammy Flex had asked him what makes his song more appealing to people in the Northern areas of Ghana. The ‘concrete’ hitmaker revealed the reason to be the good quality of his music. He pointed out that his songs have good content which advises and inspires his fans as well as music lovers. He further explained that he gives out moral lesson in his songs which helps people get over their problems.

It could be recalled that on May 24, fancy pulled over 12000 people to the Tamale sports stadium for his album ‘Naawuni Yiko’ launch. The massive crowd which graced his album launch has never been seen in any major event organised by Ghana’s A list artistes, making Fancy Gadam bigger a star in the north than other artistes, according to many media reports.

His recent performance at the stadium in a way relayed to the public that he [Fancy], rules in the North. The ‘Naawuni Yoko’ hit maker is currently in Accra to do some collaborations.
