Flag bearer of Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Paa Kwesi Nduom has responded to claims that he is mandating all his employees to support him in his presidential contest.
Speaking with Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Paa Nduom cleared the air by saying that employment in any of his companies are not limited by political instincts.
However, he stated categorically that, it amounts to an act of foolishness for any of his workers to pledge allegiance to President Mahama, while being a beneficiary of his economic achievements.
“[It is as well] a foolish thing for one to stand up in my company and say I belong to JDM”
Nevertheless, he expressed high hopes in the belief that all who benefit from the dividends of any of his establishments will love to throw their weight behind him in his political ambition.
The PP presidential candidate has just announced former beauty queen, Brigitte Dzogbenuku as his running mate in this year’s election. Brigitte Dzogbekun won the Miss Ghana Pageantry in 1991. He said his choice of a woman as running mate is aimed at giving meaning to his ‘all inclusive’ and ‘Ghana first agenda’.
Paa Kwesi Nduom is positive about this year’s election, which will be his third time of contesting for the Presidential seat. He was announced on July 16 as the PPP Presidential hopeful for the 2016 elections. Following the announcement, the PPP flagbearer a few days later, stated categorically that this year’s election would be his last and final try at the presidency.
Nduom who has centered his campaign message on job creation said that if his message of job creation is not enough to convince Ghanaians to vote him in this third attempt, he will throw in the towel, and focus on his businesses.
