Ghana is Lagging Behind Under Mahama – Nana Addo at Nkoranza


Lamenting on government’s poor leadership, Nana Addo called for a change in the system, urging the people of Nkoranza to vote massively for him as well as the NPP, in the coming elections.

To the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo, Ghana, compared to other African countries, is extensively lagging behind in terms of development. Nana Addo during his campaign tour of the Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South constituencies in the Brong Ahafo Region, lamented on the backwardness of the country’s economy.

According to him, Ghana is blessed with abundance of natural resources and human capital, but due to the incompetence of the government, the country is still struggling to develop. This is what he said to the people of Nkoranza:

Ghana is being mired in poverty, whilst our neighbours are progressing. We are not a poor country. We have the resources, which when well-managed, can lift the masses out of poverty.

On agriculture which is what the people rely on, Nana Addo promised to boost productivity in the said sector if he is voted into power. The NPP flagbearer also urged the people not to be lured by the very many vote buying tactics of the ruling National Democratic Congress’ (NDC). He promised the people that they would receive all the goodies they deserve in due time, when he comes into power.

He rebuked the ruling government for trying to bribe the people by distributing food items as well as other goodies ahead of the elections, in order to influence them into voting for the party.
