Ghana Meets Naija 2017: Shatta Wale, Tiwa Savage, Others Set To Shut Down the Stage at this Year’s Grand Event!


It’s here again! Get ready to be thrilled at this year’s edition of Ghana meets Naija music combat. The 7th edition of Empire Entertainment’s annual West African concert,  Ghana Meets Naija 2017; was launched on May 2, at UniBank Ghana’s Kokomemle offices.

Organizers of the West African hit show, Empire have promised a golden experience with lots of sensational packages. Addressing the gathering at the launch, Laillah Crystal Banda, a representative from Empire Entertainment promised a uniquely golden look and feel this year.

Empire announced some very big names in the Nigerian creative arts industry expected to feature in the much-anticipated event. More so, known local names in the Ghanaian music industry; Shatta Wale, M.anifest, will be gracing the show. The Ghanaian acts will be joined by Nigeria’s Davido, Falz and Tiwa Savage as the performers for this year’s edition.

Nigerian superstar Tekno, who is widely speculated to appear this year will not make the show, due to some medical reasons. The ‘Pana’ hitmaker is currently treating an ailment according to reports.



Ghana Meets Naija is a platform where Ghana and Nigeria come together in a friendly battle to prove who the best is in the music industry. Now in its 7th edition, the show garners tons of subscribers from across Africa, due to the expert organization as well as the tall list of top African acts it parades.

Last year’s edition saw a blasting face off between two dancehall moguls in Ghana and Nigeria –Shatta Wale (Ghana) and Flavour (Nigeria). The two acts took the third round of the competition to a whole new level with their out of the world music combat.

Sponsored by banking giant uniBank, Ghana meets Naija 2017 is sure to be a blast. The different stages for the 7th edition will be revealed very soon. Tickets for the event have been made available at Live Fm, Starr FM, and uniBank branches at Kokomlemle and Accra Mall.
