Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo has pleaded with residents of Abuakwa North to honour JB Dankwa by ensuring the party’s victory in the by-election.
With JB Dankwa gone, a by-election is to take place in the Abuakwa North constituency to elect another Member of Parliament for the constituency. Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo has pleaded with residents of Abuakwa North to honour JB Dankwa by ensuring the party’s victory in the by-election. He has appealed to the residents to turn out in their numbers and vote massively for the party’s candidate, Gifty Twum-Ampofo, in the by-election which will take place on Tuesday, March 29.
Nana Addo on Wednesday while campaigning in Old Tafo, Sokode Juase and Kukurantumi, in the Abuakwa North constituency, told the people that a vote for Gifty Ampofo will be a vote in honour of late J.B Dankwa.
A mini rally for the campaigns was held at the main transport terminal where Nana Addo addressed the attendees which included several hundreds of party faithfuls and sympathizers. Nana Addo who was once the former MP for Abuakwa, from 1996 to 2004, until the constituency was split into Abuakwa North and Abuakwa South, appealed for support for Gifty in the upcoming by-election.
He also urged them to vote for him in the general election, saying that the process of bringing change to every part of the country will begin with victory for Gifty Twum-Ampofo, and subsequently, an NPP victory in November.
He further lamented on the instabilities in different sectors impeding the growth of the nation’s economy, hence the need for a change in government. He said the nation is in a dire predicament occasioned by bad leadership, but that the NPP government will transform the economy and pave way for Ghana’s progress and prosperity.
Nana Addo was accompanied by the NPP National Women’s Organiser, Otiko Afisa Djaba; NPP Eastern Regional Chairman, Kinston Akomeng Kissi; and other national party loyalists.
