It appears the beautiful actress has gotten in the mood of valentine as she made out time to visit the Teshie Orphanage. As part of her charity project in 2016, she paid a visit with her friends and family to Teshie orphanage and shared lots of things with them. In her desire to meet their basic needs, she made donations in the form of toiletries, Oil, Detergents, Bags of rice, cups, boxes of noodles, drinks, biscuits, clothes. She also provided supper for the orphanage and donated a cash amount of GHC 1000 to help run the orphanage.
She expressed her satisfaction with what she had done and equally her concerns about the well-being of the children there.
“I am very happy within myself for being able to do a thing like this, I pray for strength and pray that, just the same way it came to my thoughts to come here and help these orphans, others can be inspired by it”, she said.
She also observed that most people who engage in charity works always overlook Teshie Orphanage as there are few children there. She urged people to visit the orphanage more often as the children there also share the same needs with those in other orphanage homes.
”This is not a very big orphanage home and there are not too many children over here, hence, Teshie Orphanage Home is on most occasions overlooked for that matter but that shouldn’t be the case. I will like to urge individuals who want to embark on this kind of activities to remember these kids here in Teshie”. she added.
Born to a Nigerian father and Ghanaian Mum, the diva rose to fame after making an appearance on Miss Malaika and then proceeded to work with film-maker Shirley Frimpong-Manso. She is known for her role in movies such as; Efya and Friends, Before Noon, Victims, Royal Diadem, V-Republic, Love or something like that, among others. Teshie is not the only Orphanage Christabel has made plans for. She is also looking forward to visiting other orphanages next time.
