Kessben FM Journalist’s Death; Police Commence Investigations

The body of the late Kessben FM journalist was found lifeless in bed by a family member

A Kumasi journalist has been reported dead, causing fear among media practitioners. Confidence Kwadwo Baah, host of ‘Breaking News’ at Kessben radio and television, was reported to have finished his show on Saturday afternoon without complaints of or showing any sign of ill health. News of his death however came as a shock to followers of the media outlet.

According to reports, the body of the late Kessben FM journalist was found lifeless in bed by a family member. The unnamed relative, reportedly came to check on him and immediately rushed him to the Effiduase Government Hospital, only to be told that Mr Baah has passed on.

Following news of his death, tons of tributes have been rolling in from friends and well wishers of the family, as well as the general public. Baah’s death has caused the station to adjust its normal programme schedule. The station is said to be playing only dirges and recordings of the late journalist.

A popular Kumasi sports presenter Anthony Ackon Hammond, eulogised his friend and colleague on Facebook:

Confidence K Baah why???????????? Even yesterday he did breaking news after sports ali asked him confidence are u married n do u have kids he said i wont answer it not knowing death was staring at him.

Since there was no justifiable cause of death of the late journalist, the police have commenced investigations to ascertain the possible cause of his death. According to reports, the Effiduase police have picked up a lady for questioning. The 37-year-old suspect is said to be a long time girlfriend of the deceased, who was with him several hours before he was found unconscious.
