Check Out This KNUST Medical Student, Who Swept 19 Awards At Graduation

The KNUST medical student wins 19 awards out of the available 20 awards prepared by the school

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is truly setting higher standards this year. Another record has been broken at KNUST’s School of Medical Sciences, this time from a doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The graduand going by the name Kwame Larry, left mouths agape on his graduation day, as he bagged 19 awards in the graduating class of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine at KNUST.

The KNUST medical student wins 19 awards out of the available 20 awards prepared by the school. Just days ago, Ghana celebrated a young medical doctor, Fathia Ayodele Kareem, who graduated with 12 out of 15 awards at the 23rd Oath Swearing and Induction ceremony of graduating medical doctors.

Social media has been buzzing with celebrations for the achievements of Dr. Kwame Larry Tay. One of the people who broke the news of Kwame’s outstanding achievement is Ben Dotsei Malor, a former presidential spokesperson.

He wrote on Facebook:

“Dr Larry Kwame Tay – my nephew – I salute, celebrate and honour you. To God Be The Glory. Well done and many congratulations. We are proud of you. Many more honours. Cheers.”

Indeed, there’s no stopping these bright heads at the university. Apart from Kwame Larry, Dr. Louisa Kwakye-Ansong also from KNUST, raked multiple awards on her big day. The 25-year-old from the KNUST Dental School not too long ago, swept six awards out of the nine available awards, during the induction of newly trained medical doctors.

Dr. Kwame Tay who resides in Kumasi, is an old student of Mawuli Senior High School. Kwame Tay works with the Ashanti Regional Veterinary Services, and is also the former House Officer of the Ashanti Regional Veterinary Services.

Truly, awesome records have been set by these outstanding graduands of the prestigious KNUST.
