The Kpemberuwa who was a former District Chief Executive; for the West Gonja District from 2001 to 2005, under the Kufuor-led NPP administration, has also renewed his allegiance to the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political tradition.
His recent endorsement has become a subject of discussion on many media platforms. This is because he was earlier rumoured to have thrown his weight behind President Mahama ahead of the 2016 elections.
Following the circulating rumours, some Gonjas who are of the NPP, had explained that the Kpemberuwa’s conduct was a mere camouflage, as his full support is for Nana Addo.
Well, it seems the NPP Gonjas were right after all, as the Kpemberuwa has made his own predictions of the 2016 elections in favour of the NPP flagbearer.

He urged his people to come out in their numbers and vote for Akufo Addo, predicting over 53 percent victory for the NPP Presidential nominee.
The Kpemberuwa called on God to hear his predictions and prayers for Nana Addo, hoping that the next time he meets with the NPP flagbearer, he will be able to address him as His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
Nana Addo has continued to get endorsements from traditional rulers ahead of this year’s elections. To mention a few, Denkriya Queen, Agona Chief, and Tuobodemene have all thrown their weight behind the NPP flagbearer.
