It has been 13 weeks of a series of rigorous grooming, screening and stiff competition for the 10 final contestants of the Miss Malaika 2016. However, the competition was brought to an intense end on Saturday night at the National Theatre.
Leah Brown, a 21-year-old Political Science and French student of the University of Ghana student beat 9 other contestants to emerge the Miss Malaika Ghana 2016.
The First Runner Up is a Business Administration student of the University of Ghana, Amanda Edem Fiawosime, while the Second Runner Up is Delsey Hamilton Yankah, a student Business Management at the University of Cape Coast.
Accompanying Leah Brown’s crown, is a Renault Captur Hatchback, one year wardrobe supply, one year hair supply from Hair Senta, trip to Dubai, $10,000 scholarship from Abbeam Institute of Technology, among others. Throughout her reign, Miss Leah will serve as a National Youth Ambassador for the campaign against the spread of Malaria. Congratulations to her!

This year’s Miss Malaika contest which is the 14th since its inception was organised by Charterhouse. It was sponsored by UB hair relaxer, KIA by Rana Motors, Sivoderm, Ethiopian Airlines, Abbeam Institute and supported by Royco and Crown Paints.
