Who is deceiving Ghanaians; myself or mahama? Nana Addo queries…
Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians tha he will ensure that all the promises he is making to the electorate are fulfilled if he is voted into power.
He gave this assurance during the campaign launch of the party’s Dome Kwabenya parliamentary candidate, Adwoa Safo.
Nana Addo said that whenever the NPP is coming out with plans that will bring development to the nation, some folks keep saying that they can’t implement the said policies.
According to him, President Mahama accused him of bragging and lying during the 2012 campaign when he said he will offer free senior high school education if voted in. But then, President Mahama went ahead to put up the policy of building 200 senior high schools out of whikch he has succeeded in building on five. Following these analysis, the NPP presidential flag bearer asked who is actually deceiving Ghanaians; himself or Mahama?
“During the 2012 election I said if you vote for me I will ensure free senior high school education, so all our youth will go to school. [President] Mahama said I was bragging and lying to Ghanaians. But after being voted, he said he will do the same thing and that he will build about 200 community senior high schools in the country.”
“Till date he [President Mahama] has built only five, so between the two of us, who is deceiving Ghanaians?”
He assured the people that all the policies and plans contained in the party’s manifesto have undergone proper scrutiny, and that they are capable of implementing them to bring about tremendous development to the country.
The real political drama will soon kick off in earnest as all the parties are almost set to commence their campaigns proper. The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has unveiled a 15-member team to take care of the 2016 elections campaign for the party. They also indicated that the party’s campaign and manifesto launch will follow suit in no distant time.
