President John Mahama has revealed his burning likeness for Shatta Wale’s Kakai single.
The president, who is an active fan of Ghana’s entertainment industry, made the disclosure during his Accounting to the People tour in Tema yeterday [Wednesday].
He commended the dancehall act for “his creativity” and revealed that the first time he heard the song, he inquired who did the song and it was revealed to him that it was Shatta Wale.
President Mahama, while trying to sing a line or two of the song said, “Shatta Wale come like Kakai” much to the excitement of the crowd of party supporters present at the venue.
Shatta Wale, the self acclaimed Dancehall King of Ghana continues to get more love and fans despite his controversial nature. Shatta Wale’s Kakai is the first independent single he released after parting ways with Bullhaus Entertainment in 2015. His latest hit is the vulgar song titled, ‘Womaame Tw3’, which sources reveal both the president and the public are never pleased with.
We would still recall that the President Mahama during an interview on Uniiq FM in August last year, as part of activities to mark World Youth Day revealed some of his favourite stars in the Ghanaian music and movie industries.
Among the Ghanaian celebrities mentioned by the President then were Gyadu Blay-Ambolley, Shasha Marley, Kojo Antwi, John Dumelo, Lil Win, Agya Koo, Wutah, VIP, Emilia Brobbey, Kyeiwaa, Jackie Appiah.
The revelation sparked off a lot of controversy, considering the fact that many key persons were conspicuously missing from the list.
President Mahama’s versatility is one of the many reasons that endears him to the youths as well as Ghanaians in general.
