Comic actor Mr Beautiful has made a concluding statement about who would win in the upcoming elections…
Speaking in an interview on Hitz @ 1, the popular actor said the President does not need to deliberately influence people to vote for him before he’ll emerge the winner in the oncoming presidential polls. According to him, Mahama “has already won the elections”.
The comic actor Mr Beautiful made this declaration in response to questions concerning allegations that the president’s support for some veteran actors is an attempt to make them to vote for him.
An association known as ‘Celebrities for Mahama’, made up of creative arts veterans and stars has reportedly been receiving huge assistance from President Mahama for sometime now. Mr Beautiful, on his own part is the group’s project coordinator. The association specifically supports her members with huge sums of money to cater for their health and general welfare.
Defending Mahama, Mr Beautiful indicated that,
“This is not the first time the President has been supporting the veterans, he started about three years ago and I am the one who mobilizes that. As for what the president gives them, it is not important, what is important is; he gives them money to cater for their hospital bills and general welfare.”
Highlighting the possible influence of such support to the veterans, he explained that,
“If someone has done something for someone and that person wishes to return the favor, what do you care about the influence? He (Mahama) is not being philanthropic for people to vote for him, whether they (Ghanaians) like it or not, the man has already won the elections.”
We would also recall that Mr Beautiful had once said that the New Patriotic Party’s flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Adoo can never become Ghana’s president because “he is not fit”.
Mr Beautiful, whose real name is Clement Bonney is a popular and famous Ghanaian comedy film actor. He is one of Ghana’s finest and most versatile actors who has over the years won the admiration of many Ghanaians with his comic style of expressing himself in the English language.
