Nana Aba supports Shatta Wale despite the negativities surrounding the controversial artiste…
Nana Aba Anamoah has something to say to critics and haters of self acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale. The outspoken TV personality has expressed her admiration of the A-list performer who has been at the center of endless controversies over the years. Endorsing the artiste, Nana Aba says everything Shatta Wale touches “turns to gold”, as the controversial artiste has continued to stay on top without failed attempts.
Nana Aba Supports Shatta Wale; the King of Controversy
An aura of controversy is felt by every Ghanaian both old and young, whenever the name Shatta Wale is mentioned. It is also not an uncommon phenomenon that the Shatta Movement boss strives on controversies. But Nana Aba says these controversies have instead pushed the artist to greater heights rather than bring him down.
Speaking in an interview with GhOne TV, Nana Aba said her love for Shatta Wale is as a result of his resilience and steadiness despite the negativities that surround his career. Shatta Wale she said, works very hard and does not pay attention to negative vibes.
I love Shatta Wale, not because of the controversy but despite controversy and despite the negative title, Shatta Wale is rising above them. He is riding in the clouds. That is what I love about him.
Nana Aba Criticizes Charter House
The outspoken presenter also went further to slam Ghana Music Awards organizers, Charter House for boycotting the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker over a case of disrespect. Shatta Wale has not been nominated for any category at the Ghana Music Awards since 2015. It can be recalled that the controversial artist engaged in a heated argument with Charter House after he accused them of cheating musicians in the country.
This act of ‘disrespect’ had earned the ‘Chop Kiss’ hitmaker the distaste of the organizers leading to his disqualification from the award. There had been conditions of an apology given to the artist but being his controversial self, Shatta failed to comply.
However, Nana Aba doesn’t seem to comprehend the continuous refusal of the organizers of Ghana Music Awards to include the dancehall king in the awards scheme. According to her, Charter House ought to overlook the excesses of artists in the likes of Shatta who is already known for being controversial.
I am completely disappointed that you have an organization awarding musicians and because of such pettiness, Shatta Wale is not nominated.
She said it was high time the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards got over the fuss on Shatta wale’s escapades. Charter House she said, should not keep dwelling on the past. From her recent interviews, it can be deduced that Nana Aba is an ardent supporter of the Shatta Movement boss.
Earlier in March, Nana Aba announced the establishment of a foundation aimed at dealing with improving reading among children aged between 6 and 13. Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has shown concern to help the foundation and had donated several exercise books ahead of it launch.
