A few days ago, the photo somehow found itself on social media, as it has been confirmed it was not posted by the NPP flagbearer or his team. It was reported that the release of the photo was intended to mock the NPP leader. But his followers succeeded in pushing the argument that Nana Addo was promoting local products with his sip from the drink.

And for that reason, the in thing to do on social media now is to take a selfie while sipping the drink, which comes in different flavours. Tons of social media users have joined in the interesting exercise.

Celebrities too are not left out in the trending Nana Addo Kalypo craze; Hiplife artiste, Kwame A Plus and a host of others have joined the challenge. He as well as other sympathizers, have joined the trail with photos of themselves sipping the fruit drink.

Promoting the unusual act of the NPP flagbearer, A-Plus used the opportunity to address false rumours that Akufo Addo is not medically fit to rule the country. Hailing the NPP Flagbearer, on his Facebook page, he said that Nana Addo’s sipping of the juicy drink at his age -72, goes to prove that he is more than fit to rule the nation.

People with kidney diseases, diabetes and cancer do not take carbonated drinks. Pray to God that at 72 years you’ll be alive, strong and healthy enough to sip on some Kalypo!!!

God has blessed this man.
