Sarkodie’s Highest album has been described as his best compositions so far!
Sarkodie has disclosed the release date of his highly anticipated Highest album. The popular Ghanaian rapper made the announcement at an exclusive listening event at the plush ElectroLand Showroom in Accra, on Friday, August 18.
Named one of the Biggest Hip-hop Acts on the African continent by The Guardian, Sarkodie who won the Best International Act: Africa at the 2012 BET Awards, has three award-winning albums to his credit – “Rapperholic” (2012), “Sarkology” (2014) and “Mary” (2015).
Sarkodie’s Highest album which is the rapper’s fourth release, will see music lovers on Friday, September 8, 2017, listen to what can be qualified as the best compositions so far in Sarkodie’s music career.
The Highest album is a collection of incredible Hip-Hop and Afro-Beats comprising 15 brand new songs, 3 interludes and a bonus track, totaling 19 tracks.
The collection features some major African and Western acts from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and the UK including, Sarkodie’s long-time friend and Producer Jayso, Big Narstie, Bobii Lewis, Moelogo, renowned Spoken Word artist Suli Breaks, Victoria Kimani, Korede Bello, Praiz, Yung L, Jesse Jagz, Flavour, and Joey B.
According to Sarkodie, “Highest” is the celebration of his achievements, and is also his most challenging project so far in his music career. It is expected that the much awaited album will help push Sarkodie who is already on the global music map, further up the list of world renowned musicians.
Meanwhile, the musician has already unveiled the official tracklist and cover art for the album. On the cover art of the album, Sarkodie is pictured carrying his young daughter, Adalyn. See photos below.
