For his 32nd Birthday, Shatta Wale expects Land Cruiser, envelope from Mahama and Nana Addo…
Dance Hall musician, Shatta Wale’s Birthday is today the 17th of October, and the popular artiste really wants a sumptuous gift from the two major Presidential aspirants. Shatta Wale expects Land cruiser with an envelope from both President Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)!
The Shatta Movement Gad made this disclosure point blank in a Facebook post. Posting a photo of himself, he wrote:
Nana akuffo addo and president Mahama please tomorrow is my birthday so am waiting for my land cruiser and Envelope..pleasseeee!!
Quite ridiculous, huh?
It is good to reiterate here, that Shatta Wale made it clear that he is not taking sides with any political party in the ongoing electioneering and the coming polls. He rather said he will concentrate on his peace campaign to ensure that peace reign before, during and after the elections. He however stated that he is ready to perform for any party that calls for his services, whichever it may be. And from observations, he is keeping to his word.
This decision appears to be a very wise one that Shatta Wale has taken seeing the kind of freedom he is enjoying now. Both President Mahama of the ruling NDC and Naana Akufo-Addo of the opposition Npp have expressed their love and ‘fanship’ for the self acclaimed Dance Hall king either directly or indirectly.
Nana Addo recently declared in a social media post that he is a big fan of Shatta Wale. Mahama has also on several occasions expressed his appreciation of Shatta’s songs, especially his ‘Kakai’. Meanwhile, the two political parties have been using his songs extensively since the onset of campaigns towards the December polls. While The NDC has taken the ‘Mahama Paper’ and ‘Baby Chop Kiss’, the NPP loves the ‘Kakai’.
The love for Shatta Wle got to the point that Nana Addo said he is coming into power like ‘Kakai’. Some NDC loyalists also habour the feeling that the ‘Maham Paper’ song was sang for the party.
Should we now say that Shatta Wale wants to seize this golden opportunity to be lavished and have his bread buttered by the leading Presidential aspirants? Well, we ask, who will not?
