Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey has recently been on the limelight for Spanish Football Club Atletico Madrid, with four club goals to his credit since the beginning of the new season. The 24-year-old Ghanaian player scored the only goal in Atleti’s 1-0 win against Deportivo de La Coruña FC Saturday afternoon – November 4.

Partey’s latest feat comes on the heels of another dramatic and salvaging score for his club few days ago. The 24-year-old had scored an equaliser for Atletico Madrid to revive their faint hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in a disappointing 1-1 draw against Qarabag on Tuesday, October 31. Thomas scored in the 56th minute with a stunning 30-yard side-foot shot from outside the area, hitting the top corner after a back-heel set up by forward Antoine Griezmann.
In a similar development, Partey scored the only goal for Atleti in the first leg of their last-32 Copa del Rey tie with third-tier Elche on Wednesday, October 25.
About Thomas Partey
