Veep’s Brother made the declaration and pledged his support for the opposition party during Nana Addo’s five-day tour of the Central Region.
Nana Addo continues to get more NPP converts ahead of the November elections. The latest, former NDC activist who has joined the campaign trail of the NPP is Patrick Mantey, first cousin of the Vice President of Ghana, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur. Veep’s Brother who is known to have long supported the ruling party, has openly declared his support for the NPP flagbearer.
Mr Mantey explaining the reasons behind his defection, said he joined the party because of the harsh economic situation faced by Ghanainas under the Mahama led administration. He expressed huge disappointment over the present government stressing that Mahama should not be allowed a second tenure in office.
Veep’s Brother made the declaration and pledged his support for the opposition party, during Nana Addo’s five-day tour of the Central Region. The NPP flagbearer as part of his tour visited Moree, located in the Abura/Asebu/Kwamankese constituency.
Nana Addo was warmly welcomed by the residents who cheered in excitement on seeing the NPP flagbearer. The chiefs and people of Moree, during their interaction with Nana Addo, lamented about the absurd living conditions experienced by the people. They equally lamented on the neglect of the town by the present government, stating different areas which have been neglected, including the forgotten fishing industry.
This was when Veep’s brother declared his renouncement of the NDC and urged the people to vote for the opposition party. He stressed the need for the people of Moree not to vote for the NDC in the upcoming elections because nothing good has been done to improve the lives of the people of Moree.
